When entering the room, a cloud of scent comes towards you. It was clean (apart from the spiders in the bathroom), no climate, so we had to keep the window open at night. Unfortunately the room couldn't be darkened and the lantern shines brightly into the room. The bed is very soft, so sleep was out of the question

Very friendly greeting. Unfortunately, the sausage and cheese already had a dried edge. Scrambled eggs had been there for a long time and was not so appetizing. The room was very nice and clean. Bathroom was big enough and bright.

A lovely Hotel and staff

A 4 * hotel. So far everything is okay. But unfortunately without a wellness area. There are also areas that need attention here and there. For example, the wooden windows in the rooms where the paint is peeling off. It doesn't look good, and it doesn't feel good. The booked single room was okay. The bathroom was relatively large and therefore pleasant to enter. The breakfast was ok. However, the operation is not necessarily attentive. In addition, a stressed-out employee often coughed near me during breakfast. It is unprofessional and not very hospitable !!!

Nice hotel well located

I had dinner with my grandparents there and it was absolutely worth the price. My Grannie who has several allergies was taken care of, she was served a special meal and treated real nice. The workers were kind and the food was really good!

We celebrated our wedding in the Hotel Schönau and were thrilled! After a long search in the Hanover area, we came across the Hotel Schönau, which impressed us during the first visit due to the location, the beautiful visual impression (including the complex new building) and the sensational friendliness. We hadn't experienced anything like this at other locations (> 10). We were also positively surprised with the detailed planning, where at other locations, after supposedly low entry prices, one hidden cost block (e.g. € 4 per cover, € 25 candlestick, ...) followed the other. The arrangements were made directly with the manager / owner (family business) and nothing to be desired was left unfulfilled. The votes were extremely courteous and fair that you were almost looking for a catch;). After a rehearsal dinner, the wedding was on and all promises and expectations were exceeded. + Genuine, friendly staff + very good quality of the food / drinks + great location, large courtyard for reception + Unbeatable price / performance ratio (approx. € 40 per person cheaper than locations in Hanover + nice hotel rooms + ... During the planning and viewing, the owner told us that they live from the fact that guests don't just come to celebrate once, but keep coming back. We will come back! We can unreservedly recommend the hotel and say thank you very much!

Very clean, tidy. Service very kind and natural. They care about you. Breakfast could be a little more diverse but still they are tasty. What I dislikes were the lack of English speaking TV channels apart from cnn and BBC.
